Today, I’m launching my online journal “Grain-Free Bites” to share insights about the day to day details of Grain-Free Living, one bite at a time!

Because this is my journal, I’ll be sharing experiences that brought me to the Grain-Free Lifestyle and giving you some behind the scenes info!

I’m excited to tell you about my week…and how I manage working full time along with the details of the Grain-Free Allergen Friendly Lifestyle!

I try so hard to put my health first…it doesn’t always happen that way! And even more frustrating, even when I do, it seems as though life is intent on tossing me curve balls.

Most recently, I learned that my position at work would be eliminated next year! Cue the stress hormones. Despite all the yoga I do and the healthy foods I eat, I was constantly hangry!!

I have to drive by a pizza place every single day on my way home…it would have been so easy to grab something quick there and forgiven myself for it later. However I knew it wouldn’t be worth it. It never is. I’ve experienced the nasty side effect of grains more times than I care to remember.

After considering the temptation and the nasty lingering side effects which would continue for a seemingly endless stream of days, I decided to skip the side effects and make my own white pizza without grains, dairy, egg, soy, corn, almond, cashew, peanut, or sesame!

Even after living without Grains and allergens for more than 11 years, I need my favorite Grain-Free foods to help me steer clear of what I shouldn’t be eating! I wanted pizza so I had pizza! And it was flipping fabulous! The crust was perfectly crispy on the bottom and the cheese was perfectly bubbly and stretch!

If you avoid dairy as well as grains, then you know how unbelievably fabulous it is to have a cheese with the flavor and texture of a dairy based cheese!

As I write this very first entry, I don’t know all the details of which position I’ll have next year. I know I’ll have a job and that’s comforting. The anxiety has eased somewhat…and I’m trying not to get ahead of myself by brooding over all the possibilities of what it could become. Easier said than done, right?

Did I eat more pizza than I should have? YES! But it was safe pizza without grains or allergens!

There was no bloating, no joint pain, no brain-fog, no hives, or other awful side effects!!

I just posted the recipe for my Grain-Free Hot Cocoa Cookies to my VIP Recipe Box on Patreon, they are the perfect balance of a Chocolatey Grain-Free Cookie contrasted with a buttery smooth flavor! After they’ve cooled they have a crispness to them that makes them ideal for dunking in a warm beverage or a cold glass of Dairy-Free Milk!

I’m also working on Cream Cheese Frosting to go with some Grain-Free Vegan Cupcakes. No Gluten, grain, dairy, egg, soy, corn, almond, cashew, peanut, sesame, or nightshade! My goal is to create a subtle sweet cupcake with a jam filling and a just sweet enough frosting!

Right now, the flavor is perfect! The next step is to perfect the texture! The possibilities are endless when we Break A Recipe!
