A Slice Of The Grain-Free Lifestyle

I’ve been avoiding grains, dairy, egg, soy, corn, almond, cashew, peanut, and other allergens since 2012. At first I tried what the doctors told me to do, “eat meat and vegetables and add as much flavor to them as I could”.

After my first holiday without grains, I knew that wouldn’t work! I had a desperate desire to grab a slice of bread from the bread basket and slather it with butter as part of my Thanksgiving Dinner.

Since I’ve added Grain-Free breads back to my menu, I no longer feel that I’m missing out.

Breads are one of the first foods my Grain-Free VIPs are looking for! When we add bread back to our menu, suddenly toast, sandwiches, appetizers, and many more foods are once again possible!

Can I Freeze These Breads?

Yes! Let the breads cool completely. Then slice them. Wrap them in foil or plastic wrap, and place the wrapped loaf inside a freezer bag. The breads will keep for up to 2 months.

Isn’t Xanthan Gum Made From Corn?

Xanthan gum is often made from corn, dairy, soy, or wheat. I use Authentic Foods Xanthan Gum. It’s my understanding that it’s made from cabbage. I can use it safely without reacting to it. If you are unsure, please ask your doctor and never use an ingredient you believe is unsafe for you!
